Buschur MAS pipe

Put in Buschur UICP, FMIC, and MAS pipe. I am assuming that it is the MAS pipe that is causing my car to stall or drop to 100 RPM when I am in traffic or even if I go into 1st gear for a second and let off the gas. Any way to cure this? OR do I have to take it off because it is getting annoying

THnx

And you are using the 1G BOV they sent you? I have the HKS BOV and I stall occasionally. How was it getting the MAS pipe on? Thinking about ordering tomorrow as a matter of fact.

Hmmm, It shouldn't be acting up like that if you have the 1G bov recirculating to the mass pipe. If you do have it recirculating back to the intake pipe, double check all your couplings. Sounds like you are loosing air somewhere and the MAS is compensating with extra fuel for the extra air it thinks its getting into the engine.

Can that be corrected using the S-AFC? I think I heard that somewhere.

DOuble checked, triple checkedn, even took off the bumper again to make sure everything was hooked up. I think it also could the the vacum tubing I ahd to run. Tell me if this sounds correct. The new lower IC pipe doest not a have a nipple that T'ed off to the actuator. SO I ran a T from the BOV hose and ran it there. Does that sounds right?

That should be ok, the pressure source can be obtained from anywhere in the intake path of a turbo car. I believe the stock BOV pressure source comes from the manifold, so you should be fine as long as you connected it to the right fitting of the boost solenoid. I'll try to think of some more stuff ....

If you decide that it's more trouble than it's worth I'll buy it from you.

i'll probably get flamed for this one...

i know this is a message board, and reviews are great. but don't you think you should talk to Buschur before you post problems like this? in a business sense, your post may have cost Buschur customers that were just ready to purchase this same product.

i can understand if you spoke to Buschur already and they were absolutely no help. was that the case? because it may very well be an install error...or maybe not. i just think it's best to contact them first. what do you think?

Lightbulb

I'm not familiar with the tuning device you are using with your combination. However, you may want to examine your a/f ratios as the car comes back to idle. You may simply need to add more fuel at or near your idle rpm. I've found this to be the case on some of the cars that I have tuned. Using the SAFC2, I've been able to tune around occasional intermittent stalls. Furthermore, I experienced intermittent stalls with our shop EVO when it ran the stock ecu and stock plumbing so I can't attribute it to the MAF pipe that we produce... however, it may aggrivate an already existing condition. I've found that many of the Evo's seem to go excessively lean at times while idling. Hope you find this information helpful.
