I'm running the AMS (cast sides)with a gt35 on an E7 with a greddy 3" tbe and a custom DP. its laggy!

With an E8 turbo and the full greddy 3" tbe and O2 pipe, it woke up the turbo's spool up. Id say as much as the 3". sorry but no hard numbers.

I have the AMS street core and like it a lot.
the main thing to look at is the core. I would stick with a garrett core.

Here's mine...

Buy an OBX ebay intercooler! It's 3.5" thick, has a great looking core, and is less than half the price of the ETS. BEST BANG FOR THE BUCK!

you high right?

i think the AMS FMIC with cast end tanks is to small for big power evo's. IMO stick with ETS.

they have a website you can look at and it tells you what you have to do for each size of intercooler they have.

If your running a 35R our 4.0" intercooler will be enough. The 5.0" will fit, but it requires cutting/removal of the crash beam and trimming of the front bumper cover.

The piping for the AMS f1 intake will need to be the AMS piping, we have not mocked up that intake manifold so we don't offer piping for it. However, we do offer piping for the Magnus cast intake manifold. English Racing recently performed a test showing not much difference between the two. If you haven't purchased the intake manifold, this may be something to consider.

The lag between the 4.0" and 5.0" will not be noticeable. The intercooler takes m/s to fill with air. English Racing has actually tested the 5.0" on a stock turbo and they could not feel an increase in lag over the 4.0"

Thanks,

Michael
