How can you tell a IX RS T-case from a different model's?

Am I right in thinking that RS's were the only trim levels to come from the factory with an LSD in the T-case? How can I tell a IX RS T-case from one without LSD? Thanks!!

Try to spin the wheels opposite directions when the car is up in the air

Is the LSD for the front wheels or does it work to provide as much 50:50 between front & rear? Also is there any external markings to differentiate between the different models' t-cases?

The 04 RS had an LSD w/ no ACD if that's what you're thinking. The other models still had the open front diff and no ACD.

03-04 No front LSD No ACD

04 RS Front LSD No ACD

05 VIII's and 06 IX's all had Front LSD and ACD. Rear diffs are the same in all

Don't know of anyone in the US that put AYC on a USDM car
