quesions about my 2.4 build
quesions about my 2.4 build
ive got a map 2.4 stortblock with a ported stock head and i need to figure out what gaskets i need. water pump? head? im looking to make 600 out of the motor and a buschur cast 3582 kit. also wondering if i would need to upgrade my injectors and fuel pump from the 1000cc walboro 255 setup im running. the setup made 475 on the origional 2.0
600 on pump gas?
If you want to be able to get the most out of your setup, I say you should think about a double pumper and 1450's-1600 or something around there, especially with a 2.4L and a 3582 kit. Most people are finding they need a double pumper with an FP black on a 2.0 to get the most out of it.
You could run with what you have but you'd probably run out of fuel on the dyno and have to run it detuned a little. Aren't you also in e85 country? You'll want the injector headroom for that if you do change fuels some time.

Get 1650's if you plan to run E85 with such a stout setup......Hell get 2150's and a double pumper (or one of the new fuel pumps claiming to be a replacement for a double pumper system if they are legit).
I spoke to a few people on this forum that had inline setups and they said if they had to do it all over again they would just do a double pump and be done with it.

i dont have the money for a full blown double pumper at the moment so if i run an inline will i get the same efficiency without the clean setup or is there more down sides? also will i need a regulator runnin like 1450s or 1650s and two walboros on e85 if i go that route?
There are benefits to both setups. The double pumper is very proven, but some people have issues with fuel pickup if they drop below 1/4 tank. The inline pumps don't suffer that issue as you're still using the stock in-tank plumbing. The double pumper will support more power, given the nature of the fuel delivery. Different ways to skin the same cat. The stock FPR is fine. Make sure to drill out your siphon tube in the fuel pump housing either way. 1450's will be enough and aren't a PIA to tune.

i got another walboro for fuel, now im looking into ignition. my question is am i limited on which cop units i can run because im running aem? will the spoolinup cop or sparktech unit work??
what do u guys suggest i do about an oil cooler since i ate up my last block and its prolly full of shrapnel, i dont have 600 bucks to drop on a new one, my buddy mentioned a b&m universal super cooler, what do u guys think of that?
get STMs oil cooler kit it will run you about 250 tops
I'd look for a slightly larger turbo like the 3586 to make the power but its definitely doable. The 1000s will be at the end of the rope. A Buschur double pumper and some 1200s will feed the fire for sure.
