2.0 to 2.3 build

i decided not to use my 4g63 crank and new rods and pistons i bought,
i search that you can swap a 4g64 crank into the 4g63 block to make it 2.3
my questions is can you still use the stock length 150mm rods and pistons?
i also want it to be around 10:1 c/r, i been searching my but off for the best brand, if your guys have any ideas give me some tip, thanks, i we will be building this myself, it be fun lol

Yes you can use a 4g64 (100mm Stroke) cranks with your 150mm rods, No you can't use the same piston you will have to get pistons with the pin raised 6mm up.
The stock crank stroke is 88m, so 100-88=12 12/2=6

These are easily found on ebay or any evo parts retailer( 2.3l evo) stroker pistons. Cp or Je pistons are definetly industry leaders in my opinion and experience but people like David Bushur have spent alot of time, trial and success to improve the Quality weight and performance of the off the shelf pistons available to most consumers.

There is mountains of information that is available especially on Evolutionm.net that I'm sure a simple search would have been quite fruitful.

You should ask yourself some simple questions before building any engine for any vehicle.
The most important.
Whats your budget ?
Honestly personally I'm a go hard or go home type of person so I bought like 4 different sets of rods, each time deciding to go bigger and stronger this was costly and time consuming but meh I just built more engines and got more experience, hahaha nevamind

What do you want your car to do ?
Street, Autocross, Drag.
Remember everything is a compromise
I can't stress how many people I have built engines for and they never listen don't go chasing numbers.

I was going to ask a couple more questions that I think you should think about but my steaks ready chur.

Look for davids recent 2.3l stroker build there's lots of useful information in there about compromise and what he wanted to achieve with his build.

peace

thanks man, your right, my budget is getting a bit tight with all this gas prices crap, its just that i have time with the car, so if i have time with it, i can just go hard like you said, i notice the 4g64 crank is a 6 bolt, quartermaster twin doesn't make one for that, so i probably have to buy a after market 7 bolt 100mm crank

I got my whole Manley 2.3 stroker rotating assembly for $1800 shipped had my engine builder order it and I only have $2200 in a full rotating short block that's my opinion that's with the 100mm forged crank not their billet, Manley turbo tuff I beams, and Manley pistons rings, all bearings etc.

Guys, do we need to grind a little on our stock block when using 4g64 crank?

Wat other supporting parts to change to make this stroker complete and run reliable?
Mind to list down?
1) 4G64 Crank
2) 150mm rods
3) Piston?
4) Oil squirter?
5) Etc?

Thanks

1)4g64 crank (100mm) no modifications required
2)150mm rods
3)Pistons = read my above post
4)Oil squirters are on 2nd gen evo blocks so you don't have to change anything there, I personally get rid of my oil squirters but I also modify my pistons to account for not having them.
