Looking at both pictures, it's safe to assume he is referring to the gasket between the o2 houston/hotside.

Why is the bolt missing? I'd also address the issue of the missing bolt and make sure it doesnt happen again before replacing the gasket.

You can get the o2 housing gasket from vendors here or Mitsubishi.

And do yourself a favor. Absolutely do not over tighten those bolts! I have a bad habit of that and with the heat and pressure they seize and bolts break when I need to remove them.

I believe that the bolts are M10x1.25. Only get them in exhaust grade bolts. I actually found some that would fit at O'rielys autoparts for like $2 for 3 or 4 bots.

The title of this thread is retarded. Should read "O2 housing seperated from hotside".

I don't know where but it was only on one stud when I looked at it
This should be really easy, quick, inexpensive to fix, no worries. Hardware can be obtained locally from autozone, pep boys, etc.. Gasket can be obtained locally from dealership. Most likely what happened is that the guy didn't install the Megan O2 housing correctly (didn't torque the bolts down to spec).

watch out bro... the autozone orielly's hardware normally isnt intended to extreme temps like the o2 housing has to deal with. they will either lock into the housing or snap off when you pull them.

make sure you use permatex high temp thread antiseize its like 5 bucks at autozone for a big jar... and if you can chase the thread on the turbo with a tap kit before you put in the new bolts...

the other day i changed my turbo oil line and when i went to reinstall the bolts one locked mid way and ****ed the threads... that was without all the bs that yours have been threw...

best of luck

o2 housing gasket = MR299686

o2 housing bolts MD062961 = uses 3 of these

o2 housing studs MR224441 = uses 2 of these

nut for studs MD050073 = uses 2 of these

washers for studs MD132933 = entire turbo area turbine housing area uses 9 of these but the o2 housing area only uses 5.

if one of the studs is broken off and u install it with just 3 bolts and 1 nut ur gonna have more than a small exhaust leak. And thats a place you don't want to have a leak. I left one of those bolts loose one time and could see fumes pouring out of the hood vent. You need to have all 5 on there man, dont skimp

I agree with Yog.. you definitely want all bolts/studs on the o2 housing. do not reinstall with one missing.
