FP/BBK/Buschur 04 RS (new pics of cold air intake, etc.)
Finally we have some warmer weather, so I decided to clean the winter grime off my car, install my new Buschur heat shield and take some pictures with my new camera. The cold air intake is also new and I immediately noticed much closer to ambient IATs post-FMIC. Can't wait to get this car out to some events once I get some new tires and get the suspension re-dialed in!

p.s. I know the cold air intake could be a problem in the rain. This is a weekend car and if I absolutely have to drive in a hard rain (like for a previously scheduled track day), I'll just move the filter to where the hump coupler is (the beauty of SD).

Thanks guys. The intake is a 2003 era Buschur intake that I supplemented with some extra couplers, an aluminum 90 degree elbow and a really big K&N filter. I think Dave used to run something not to different than this back in 2004 or so on his RS.
I've had this BOV forever and I like it's part throttle characteristics, so I'm not too interested in changing. I guess I could run it VTA, but then I'd have to put an air filter on it (since it's open at light throttle) and plug my intake where the BOV attaches -- that would be a hassle, would look ugly, and would probably not make a bit of difference in performance.
That is the Spoolin' Up kit that can go under the cover. Once I installed it I kind liked the way it looked, so I haven't been using the cover. (I'd love to have one of those out-of-production Buschur billet spark plug covers that is as wide as the valve cover though.)
Thanks for the kind words. Happy to answer any other questions folks have.

beautiful car.. I would like mine to end up somewhere around there when I am done with it.
I hear ya on the BOV for part throttle issues. I have SD on the AEM and just put a Tial Q VTA on there. I am not enjoying it all that much and it flutters at part throttle and according to some threads with responses from Tial that it really is compressor surge from riding that part of the map and it shows because the Tial does not leak. I am thinking about going back but the flanges are already in the piping so I will have to live with it for a while. Holds boost like a champ though.
