Fuel rail install question on seals
Fuel rail install question on seals
Have an after market fuel rail-- was just looking at it and it looks like there are o-rings on each end. I didnt get o-rings with the rail. Is there 1 on each end of the rail? and the real stupid question: How many have used the old seals off the stock rail..? ( I cringe at the thought of using old seals).
I know my Aeromotive fuel rail came with o-rings, so depending on the manufacturer it might be they should have came with it? I would call up where you bought it from first and see if they should have been included, then if not, ask if you can buy them. Seeing their o-rings they should be very low cost.
When I swapped my rail my stock seals were in very good condition. If you go buy them make sure they're designed to be fuel resistant and used for hi pressure applications, otherwise they will leak. You can get them from the dealer, probably something they keep in stock or any auto parts store should have generic packs of them
Yeah, thanks for the answers---was thinking the same thing. Called the dealer--as luck would have it there isn't an o-ring in Tx except for Odessa-- ( ha) like Odessa has a crap load of Evo's running around the Dallas FTW doesn't. Not to mention they are almost 6.00 a piece-- laughed at that too! Thanks guys-- just trying to think ahead.
