Angry everything is going wrong!!!! need help

ok so i am replacing the clutch on my evo 8 and when we put the tranny back on and tried to engage the clutch to connect the TOB to the wedge collar/pressure plate in wont connect. im not sure if the wedge collar came off as we put the tranny back on but if it did is there any way to get it back on without taking the tranny out again cause that is such a ***** to do? and suggestions or help would be greatly appreciated cause im about to loose it. thanks

its highly suggested to put the tranny in, and immediately test the slave cylinder to make sure the ring is secure. do this before putting everything back together. it will save you 8-10 hours of work.

^This is great advice, I always check that when the trans gets bolted back up first before anything else is done. If the collar and clip are off the trans has to come back out, no way around it.

Collar engagement is the first thig to check and triple check.

The first time this happened to me luckily we were just trying to see how it all worked and moved the fork back and fourth to see the operation.
