Just bought a new set of axle seals (Trans side, Tcase side, and rear pinion of Tcase) when i had my trans rebuilt so the seals are all new. the drivers side axle seal is leaking again!!! and this is the third one I had installed. I'm just going to do it myself but my question is can i reuse the same seal as long as i clean it up or am i better off just buying the $10 part. The price isnt my issue its the getting it from mitsu part. TIA

There has to be an issue with you cutting the seal while installing it into the case or when u slide the axle in. Buy the $10 part, its going to cost you more then $10 in tranny fluid if you don't.

 

i see its recessed too far in the cup. theres a certain "trick" to install which i read and then the axle itself will seat the rest in. guess im gon to mitsu tomorrow
