Bad alternator or something else?
So over the winter I was having issues with my car wanting to start because of the temps. Well, it started warming up recently so I haven't been having any issues... until yesterday. Out of nowhere, in the middle of the day just minutes after driving, my Evo decides it doesn't want to start. It doesn't even turn over. So I figure my battery is done (PC680). Got a friend to jump the car and it worked fine. Well, on my 7 minute drive home, the car started flipping out on me. First I noticed that my navigation had restarted itself. Then noticed the dash lights dimming and getting brighter constantly. Then the car started trying to turn off completely. I kept the revs up so it wouldn't stall and made it back to my parking garage before it completely died. Still had enough juice in the battery to roll my windows up and lock the doors.
This is the second alternator I've had. Also, I know the belt needs to be changed out so I'm not sure if that can be the cause or not. No system in the car, the only extra electronics being 3 Defi gauges, the control unit, Innovate wideband, and the nav unit. I've had a mini battery since like '07 (on my second or third one right now).
Any help would be GREATLY appreciated.

If your going through alternators thats not normal. Go to a garage with a digital battery/charging system tester and see what it says. A belt wont cause that btw, you might just have a tosted battery with a bad cell or cells.
