My 2003 Evo Build.

Well, the transfer case went out last racing season, and the car had 120k on it. So i decided to just have fun with it.

The build started as a VERY mild "modding" with a head gasket, studs, 20g. But its turned into an all out build, you guys know how that goes. lol

All the work was performed by The Shop, in Kingsport, Tennessee.

Right now, the mod list includes....

here it goes.

TRANSMISSION:
Built by Shep

TRANSFER CASE:
Stage 3 build with a QUAIFE LSD new ring n pinion etc.

BOTTOM END:
Manley Rods
CP pistons
ACL race bearings

HEAD:
New springs & retainers
HKS 272 cams
AEM cam gears
HKS timing belt

TURBO SETUP:
Comp Turbo 67mm
Custom sidewinder manifold.
TAIL 44mm wastegate

COOLING:
Stock rad. with a 10 in slim fan, and another 6in slimfan.

FUEL:

FIC 2150CC injectors
Walbro Intank pump
Bosch in line pump
E85
Aeromotve FPR

ENGINE MANAGEMENT:

HKS FCON VPRO

One of my main concerns with this build was overheating, i didnt want to run a half size radiator, due to the fact, this car will be daily driven 60+ miles a day to and from work. Sitting in traffic and whatnot. So i wanted to keep a full size radiator. I also wanted to keep AC and all that stuff (this fat kid needs air in the summer) And Scott, was able to design a manifold to work with the stock radiator, stock battery, stock UIC pipe and AC. So i was very pleased. I THINK he is making a jig to start making this kit and selling it. The manifold will fit a mid frame size chager on it no problem. We had an 82mm not sure what housings, sitting on it the other day. And it fit perfectly.

On to the pictures...

Heres a shot, checking the clearances for the big boy turbo... as you can see, everything fits!

Thanks for looking guys!

nice setup man! Surprised there are not more setups like this since there is a decent amount of room in that area where your turbo is.

Were you able to retain your a/c? (nevermind! you did! haha) NICE.

Interesting/cool, intercooler. I don't believe I have seen a setup like that on an Evo before.
