Life Expectancy of Your Stock Turbo

Just wondering how long and what the warning signs were when your stock turbo called it quits. Please provide the following information:

How many miles the turbo lasted--
Mods when it failed--
How many miles on each phase of modding--
Percentage of car's purpose (autox, time attack, drag, etc.)--
Signs (sounds, shaft play, etc.)--

Or. . . has it not failed yet?

---115k miles on original stock turbo
-Run a good amount of AutoX Events and Numerous Track Day Events (Road Course)
-Run at the Drag Strip usually 4-5 times a season
-Very slight shaft play
-Running E85 for the last 30k miles
-25-28psi for the last 85k miles (before that was @ stock boost levels)
-Mods in signature
***Oil has been changed every 2000-2500 miles (changed every time after a track day regardless of miles since last change)***

^Are you still on the stock turbo or did it crap out? If so, did you receive warning signs?

My original stock 8 turbo went over 100k and my brother installed it onto some Honda and it's still boosting strong.

Mitsubishi knows Turbos!

On a stock motor what is the max boost you can go to safely as not to affect reliability or over work your stock components?

still on stock turbo

90k miles
oil changed every 2.5-3k miles with royal purple 5w30
mods:hks 272s, hks intake, evo 8 turbo wit 10.5 hotside, vta o2 dump, tbe 3", ic and piping, hks ssqv, arp head studs, 25psi etc etc
daily driven with alot of drag usage and occasional trips to the track
no shaft play whatsoever.
i also always allow the engine to come to full operating temps before i even put it in gear to go anywhere and also allow 1 min of idling before shutting down on normal driving, and if ive been doing spirited driving it idles 2-3 minutes to be safe

134k miles, still boosting to 30 psi. Mostly DD miles, but have at least 50 track days (road racing). I would not be too concerned with the turbo crapping out on you, it really doesn't happen that often. There are several other things that will break before the turbo.

I'm at 112k now. Previous owner was on 91 oct, cammed. I'm not cammed but running e85 now at 27 psi. Daily driver with monthly autox. Sounds like everyone either still has theirs or upgraded, but has not crapped out.

If your referring to a stock turbo setup, 33-34psi no problem. If your just talking about the stock block, I ran as high as 46psi on the FP Black. Took over 3 years of solid abuse and a 9second 1/4 mile pass at just under 140mph to make a stock rod fail. This is in a 3,000lb daily drive as well. STM and AWD have gotten higher trap speeds out of their stock block projects, but those cars were very light race trim south of 2,7xxlbs.

170,000 miles, 27 psi, stock IX turbo, 91 octane, 3rd timing belt job coming soon!
Stock block and internals, stock turbo, stock Em and injectors can go to 27 psi from 18 psi (stock). My car is a DD and autox weekend warrior.

OMG it seems I underestimated my turbo's life span so bad I thought I need to change turbos some every 50,000 miles
