best forged pistons for Lancer Evo 6.??

Dear american friends, I wish to know on your dicretion the best forged pistons for 4g63 evo 6 engine; I tried a series of cp pistons but they are noising (din don) and after 10000km I had to change because there was a blow out in the engine and an accessive piston skirt worn.

I have to buy anther 4 and I wish to make a stroker with 4g64 crack shaft and 147mm long rod.
I with to know what do you suggest me among these items: Tomei, Ross, CP, Wiseco HD 1400,JE, and Mahle.

I will wait for a feddback.

Kind regards
Elbow

I have used all these:
Ross, CP, Wiseco HD 1400,JE, and Mahle
If you had trouble with CP it wasnt the pistons fault. Their all equally good pistons quality wise. mahle is only one of bunch made with 4032 alloy. all the others are made with 2618. I personally love the mahle pistons. you can set piston to wall very tight at .0025. factory like quiet. best ring seal of the bunch. only draw back is they melt easier than 2618. 2618 has to be set up loose to live. .004 or bigger. noisy when cold is completely normal. in fact if they are not noisy I would fear they were set to tight. which leads to scuffing and the need to rebuild.

Just out of curiously why are you using a 147mm rod? Stock is 150...

I personally like Wiseco HDs. I have seen a few JE failures in the past year and actually one of my good friends lost the wrist pin in his evo over the weekend

re

have heard that many use the Mahle pistons for power but not more than 400-450hp, these forged pistons are very thin and light. I tried the CP but they are too noisy, cold and the mantle is consumed within 10k km ... ! I heard a lot of good Wiseco 1400HD .. someone has tried?

I saw Manley performing better that wiseco on subarus... and hope JE is not bad as I am building a new stroker with JE now. I run CP on my street evo with no problems...
I wanted JE for a race engine because of the new design they have now.

Good Piston, very underated - but I noticed that guys in the know use them on High HP builds...

Ross and CP are also great 2618 Alloy pistons for 600HP plus builds - as mentioned you have to clearence them a fair bit... (can get a bit irritating on a daily driver)

4032 Alloy Wiseco's have been used on strokers with great success over the years and my philosophy on pistons is that for an everyday streetcar thats not going to be setting any records the 4032 Alloys will get the job done similar to stock on tighter clearances, have owned a few of factory cars with Mahles and there is a reason factory engineers use hypereutectic pistons like those...

I have noticed that coating the pistons help keep from getting piston slap when the motor is cold... Just food for thought
