Standard Garrett 37R upgrade options...

Just wondering if anyone knows about a company that will put a billet 67mm wheel on these outdated cast compressor wheels. I did some searching and came up dry. let me know!

That's not what I was told. I talk to a real person and he insured me that they will not touch the Garrett 37r

I know, I'm just passing along information that was relayed to me directly from FP.

I think the one you're talking about may actually be either a T04Z or the hybrid mix of the Garrett GT40 turbine from the GT4088R and the compressor wheel from the T04Z . I think this hybrid was called a GT4067R .
That "Z" compressor from memory is a HKS spec Garrett wheel I think called BCI-8D . It was a rehashed T series wheel anyway . JKav would have the exacting details .

I can't really blame anyone avoiding the old T series turbines and compressors , I think their only saving grace with turbines anyway is their trim size . Garrett is still reluctant to make GT30 and GT35 turbines in trims smaller than 84T thought they did go to 78T with their BB GT37's and GT40's .
I think they're idiots for mucking around with GTX compressors when its their turbines that cause their response issues not the compressors .

As always for reasons best known to themselves they still refuse to release the 60mm NS111 turbine which I reckon would be a better all rounder than the GT30 UHP turbines .

Until they wake up Mitsubishi and IHI will continue to do better even without annular contact ball bearings .

I spoke with FP and they do IN FACT provide the upgrade for Garret turbos.

I have an AMS35r standard 35r that I will be sending out for an HTA treatmenst soon.

Turbos can only be Upgraded if there is no shaft play, or freshly Rebuilt I believe. I sent out a AMS35R once to get HTA and what I though was no shaft play turned out to be 1mm to much and they couldn't do it, Only option is to send your turbo and hope its in good enough condition to be Upgraded
