Hi Guys,
just wonder how reliable of BC valvesprings & titanium retainers?

Will it be safe enough to rev past 8000rpm?

 

Not much love for BC here but yes they will be fine

 

The reason i wrote this thread is bcos ive just installed the BC spings & retainers and only then heard a lot of negative feedback....

Anyone with BC valvesprings & retainers to share???

 

They have been in my car for over 70k and car see's 8300 regularly

 

Not much of an upgrade, our stock springs are even beehive. Map, fp, or gsc all make good springs for use with stock retainer

 

I put these in as my first springs. I paired them with bc280 cams. Long story short, next season I sent my head games and they said they've never seen valves float so bad. Never went over 8500

got 20 k with my bc springs/retainers i rev to almost 8000 daily driver with hks 272 cams, im installing my gsc s2 cams soon with there no tick lifters....u should be fine...

yup im on here just to ask questions that I myself cant answer, and answer others questions, they dont know or some dumbasses who think they know, put them in check, im not master of engine building or anything, but id say im more knowledagable then most.

 

There rated for 8500rpm with 280's just like manley springs & ti retainers.

 

and to be honest man look at there specs, all cam manufacturers post specs of open close bind pressures, and honestly even though the springs arent beehive style, they still are a little bit better then those. But hey not all manufacturers produce a perfect product everytime for every customer.

 

Times in my sig are with BC single valve springs/retainers. Over 30k on them.
