gsc s1 idle for evo 8

Ok, I have a question. Does anyone have experience with the new gsc s1 on evo 8? how's the idle comparing to stock idle? Does it have lope? How's your idle when A/C on? I know evo ix can hide the lope. So I'm looking for answer from evo 8 guys only.

Thanks

Slight lope with S1

English Racing installed my GSC S1s, FP-Red with 84 mm, and Speed Density conversion. The car idles nice but has a "let me out of the bottle" lope that is just a hint of the great short track power setup. I love it. S1s are great for decent power gains, smaller faster spooling turbos but the tradeoff is power drops off at higher RPMs that S2s would continue to deliver. Search the posts from John Bradley and you can find the dyno sheets for the build...Don't notice any change when the AC is running

^^ Thank you for your reply. I'm in a quest for quiet cams and make good decent power. LOL I know it's nearly impossible to have both conditions.

Thanks

I have had S1's for a year now and they are great cams.

They have a slight lope to them, but nothing drastic. I can have the A/C on, and hit the brakes at idle, and it will not even come close to stalling. My idle has not been adjusted either.

I get good fuel mileage and the powerband is perfect for on the street.

I had Mellon tune my VIII after installing the S1's, he asked if I wanted the "lope" or not, he was able to alter the way the engine idles by the tune. There is still a hint of a difference which I like but only noticeable to those who are used to the way Evos sound. Great cam with an awsome tune.

Really? if you don't mind, can you post vid of your car? Did you know what's setting did he use to hide the lope?

Thanks
