....to bead or not to bead? that is the question i have
ok...so:
i just purchased the fujita hardpipe kit for my evo ix and me and my buddy noticed that the end part of the pipes that connect to the intercooler are not beaded. (see pic below)
but the rest of the pipes are ok. (the ones that connect to the TB and go down towards the intercooler.
its just that the ones that connect to the intercooler arent beaded.
i called customer service and they said that its fine and its not a problem.
i tried looking online for any bad product reviews but found none.
so im confused, should i bead it or let it be?
has anyone heard of any problems with the fujita intake kit?
will i be ok if i dont?
is there not much room for the hose to pop off and is that why they didnt bother beading it there?
i spike 31lbs of boost on the stock turbo so im thinking I shud bead it but if fujita didnt do it, am i overreacting?

LICP are notorious for blowing off and when they do its usually a PITA to get them back on since you have to jack the car up and/or remove the undertray.
I've run a couple different LICP's, most recently was a SS 2.5" LICP that was beaded but didn't have any brackets like OEM to mount to the frame, and I couldn't keep it on at the track even with T-bolt clamps. Switched back to the crappy OEM unit with both brackets attached over a year ago and haven't had an issue since.
So in summary I wouldn't put that on unless it was beaded, and even still I wouldn't run it unless it had both brackets like OEM. YMMV.

IC pipes should have bead rolled ends, no question in my mind.
I've run the Nisei pipe (cut the bracket off) and the ETS (no bracket) at 30+psi for 70+ drag passes and 2 years of DD time, never had a pipe come off. I've always run t-bolt clamps and silicone couplers though.
