$400 rear diff removal and install too much?

Instead of paying someone, spend the money on some tools if you don't have them and do it yourself. Since buying my Evo, I go to the "How to install" section and that has helped a lot. I have many years of wrenching on 5.0 Mustangs but this is all new to me. I did the TRE install back in March and it was a couple of hours or so.

Tell your cousin to tell the mechanic that he'll pay him for the actual time it takes, and then go watch the mechanic do the job. He won't get ripped off, and he may learn something about his car...
