what boost you normally run? if your dropping all the way down to 3 psi, sounds like your turbo may be toast. thats a lot of boost loss unless you have a pipe hanging somewhere causing a MASSIVE boost leak. check all your piping and esp TB for roasted seals and a big leak. any other symptoms? boost gauge? gl with the diagnosis!

boost leak test would be the first thing to check. once thats done, go from there.

how many miles/mods? thats a big drop in boost no question. let us know after the test and we can go from there. gl brother

This sounds kinda dumb but check the wastegate arm to make sure it's still connected.

I just replaced the wastegate acturator today and it still did nothing. Otherwise there is no engine mod, and car has 67k on it

maybe the boost controller is hooked up backwards. switch the vacuum lines.

From where are you getting the boost reference source for your MBC? Is it from the IM/DV "T", or compressor discharge pipe nipple?

If you are only seeing 3#, then I would suspect and at least check that the WG flapper valve is even mounted on the pivot arm shaft. The spot welds have been known to fail upon occasion.

Sounds like a toasted turbo. I would pull off the air intake and check for excessive shaft play. GL with everything.

Sorry, but you bought the car and it never boosted above 3psi? I hope you didn't know about this before buying the car.
