has anyone put on this short shifter off of ebay like this one on their evo?

Some Evo owners were doing a group buy on that shifter in Show & Shine section. Last I heard they were waiting on the bushings that were supposed to be part of their order. I have the Kartboy and would definately recomend it

So my oldschool dsm buddy warned me against short throw shifters saying that they strip gears and what not do to poor engagement, anyone else have an opinion?

Has nothing to do with engagement problems. Instead its because your friend's footwork isn't quite up to par with his faster shifts.

Exactly. I love how people speak in absolutes. It much easier to do that than think about and test the reasons why. I geuss they are saving the brain cells for something important

i just ordered that one for my evo. i havent got it yet tho. ive read good things about it on this site. if you decide to order it go directly to www.street-customs.com its cheaper than on ebay and shipping is cheaper too. i paid $30 shipped for it.
