Huge vacuum problem! Help!
So here is what's going on:
I had a bad boost leak so I had all my hose clamps replaced and problem solved. When that happened, my vacuum went from around -16hg to around -2. I live only about 1700 feet above sea level and when I come off the mountain that I live it's around 800ft it does not change! My idle is consistly around 8-900rpm so no wierd idling issues. I checked all my hoses and everything is still in place. The way that the gauge is connected is 2 spots on the intake manifold meet with a t adapter to one hose straight to the gauge. So what is my next step?
Would egr cause this bad of a vacuum leak?
How about the bov? (mr bov) I sounded like it was letting out air fairly quickly yesterday when I drove with the window down.
Possibly gaskets around the IM and/or TB? This is driving me nuts!

your best bet is to move the gauge vacuum hose and t off to the fuel pressure regulator, make sure to zip tie everything, you want a boost source off blow off valve line, to be seperate from your boost gauge...each should have there own source. Now the only thing i can think of is if your vacuum gauge dropped that much, either another vacuum hose popped off check behind your tb for your egr vacuum lines, one couldve popped off....there are also a few behind the intake mani on the passenger side...check those zip tie every vacuum line you can find, another simple thing to check is the hose off uicp for bov to intake pipe, check all those clamps make sure there on evenly and tight.
good luck
