guru question on sierra sierra evo

Why does the siera-siera evo have ceramic coated down/mid pipes but the manifold is not ceramic coated or wrapped?

lets hear those theories!

Could be with the extreme heat of the exhaust manifold it just wears off anyhow. Wrapping it can sometimes keep in too much heat in turbo applications. I was thinking of ceramic coating my exhaust manifold but I have seen a few reviews of guys on here that track/autox their evo mentioning how after a few seasons the coating is peeling off.

I remember reading somewhere that they didn't coat or wrap it so they could identify cracks right away.

Bingo! Eric Hsu said that himself. There are plenty of 2000*F+ coatings available so extreme heat and cracking/peeling coatings are not the issue.
