I'll be posting that up soon. I actually did launch the car once or twice. There is a warm up procedure for the clutch to prevent damage to the disks.

Just for kicks I did a weight comparison between the ACT HDSS clutch and flywheel, with a carbonetic twin plate. The weight should be about the same for a triple. The only additional weight would be the additional clutch disc and floater plate.

So for the ACT that makes a total weight of 29.8 pounds.

So how many miles were on it before you had to replace a few parts?

What did those parts cost you?

i previously had one that lasted 50k miles of constant abuse, and two people learning how to drive stick shift. I wanted to rebuild it but one of then vendors here quoted me about 1500 to rebuild, I paid 1650 at the time, so I decided to try a different brand. MikeB if you have a hook up let me know, its sitting in my basement and could use a rebuild.

this is likely the worst statement ATS has made concerning their clutch. these clutches hold fine when cold. yes they hold more when hot. problem is if you slip them on purpose to get heat in them it potentially puts far too much heat in the metal plates. once the metal plates warp the clutch dies pretty much instantly. I saw here on evom years ago many killed these on their first visit to track. two seconds of slip warm up is needed. four seconds can kill the clutch. bad idea to slip them if you ask me. they obviously hold up to tremendous mileage on the street. shame to kill them at the track.

iIF ANYONE HAS WELL USED CLUTCH I am in need of a parts clutch.

According to the instructions it isn't.

I have a triple that needs a rebuild, how would you know if the floater plates need to be replaced?

Is the clutch still in the car or have you removed it already?

Mike recommended me this clutch for my expected power level. I've been driving around on the streets with it and it feels great!
