Check Engine problem

Well I have a check engine light on, and can't fix the damn problem. It's a P0011 code which most of you may know as a Advanced MIVEC timing. I have done everything thing I can think of. It happen after a cam install, but it's was the second cam install from S1 to S2 cams. I have removed and checked the solenoid works fine, also cleaned it out, head was also off at the time for valve seat cutting and was cleaned so the head oil passages should be cleaned. I have taken the cam gear apart multiple times to make sure everything was good which it is. Timing is correct! I have tried turning the cam gear sensor 180 out also, but I havent changed the sensor to see if that's the problem. I don't think it could be the problem sense it should throw a different code. Also tried installing old cams and nothing. Had it retuned with light on after some saying that will solve it, and the map numbers are in spec. The only other thing I could think of would be wiring harness, but how could I test that to see if that's the problem? I'm trying to get this stupid problem fixed but can't and I cant get it tuned till it's fixed. Cars compression is about 110 on every cylinder when normal is 145. Car drives fine when cruising, but idles rough half the time and idles like **** with A/C or heat on, and has a hard start.

Your new cams go beyond the threshold your ECU is programmed to see. I believe this will need to be removed via an ECU reflash.

Problem is probably in the cams. Swap them out and see if the problem goes away.

Bump on this too. Buddy's car is throwing this code and we have been thru the Diag flow chart and everything is operating properly or passes the diag tests.

I had it once and I believe the mivec timing was advanced too far. my tuner fixed it and I have never seen it again

We had a very reputable tuner take a look at it before we started any repairs to the mechanics of the engine. He found 30-32 peak numbers for the Mivec timing, and he readjusted it down so there were no values more than 28.8 anywhere.

With that changed, the car lasted 2-3 days before the code came back on. Ohm tested the solenoid and was with in factory specs. Applied 12v to the solenoid (very briefly) and it actuated like it is suppose to. Pulled the solenoid out and the filter out. Cleaned both, varified oil is flowing thru the passages. Even replaced the mivec gear, rechecked the alignment of the timing marks. Light will still come on.

The code will set when driving up a slight incline, in 4th or 5th, at about .5-3 psi, light throttle.

Any Ideas?

Yeah I still have now idea. I ended up just buying a new engine wiring harness so Ill have to see if that fixes the problem. But right before i put it away for the winter the light was going on and off so I have no idea what to do. This wiring harness is my last hope
