5 speed sheptrans won't go from 3rd to 2nd
I'll keep this short, basically what the title says.
Running hks l.a clutch
Box has done less than 1000 miles
Car was warm
Light chattering noise heard from gearbox on idle
Has only been launched twice
1st to 2nd shift has felt notchy before it was running for the first time
Could smell clutch after a normal drive, a very light smell
Gearstick would go down from 3rd to 2nd but could not feel the gears engage
Has only recently not engage from 1st to 2nd when changing at 6500rpm
Now here's the part that baffled me, this morning I drove it to work and 3rd to 2nd shift was normal again... Help?

I hope you make it clear that you have no idea what the problem is, and when you find it, you post it immediately.
When you start a thread like this with a title that suggests that a particular vendor's build is involved, people naturally associate one with the other. I don't own Shep transmissions, but I can see why this kind of title would be frustrating to a vendor, particularly when you have not called and asked them about the issue that you are having...
Good luck with solving your shifting issue.
The suggestion about shifter cables (and brackets) is also a good one. If you have aftermarket shifter bushings installed, they sometimes can expand with heat and lock up the shift mechanism, acting like transmission problems when they're not...
