Can someone confirm i have dialed my cams in correctly???

I all ime just after a little feedback as to weather i have dialed my cams in correctly.

The cams in question are tomei 270 procams with the 11.5mm lift, all this is in a 4g63 head but on a 4g64 block so with the 6mm extra height in the block the timing is thrown out.

Anyway the spec sheet that comes with the cams gives a lobe centre angles as follows:

Intake : 110 degrees
Exhaust : 115 dgerees

With both the cam dials set to 0-0 the max lift of each cam was out by around 5 degrees (cant remember exactly but they were out)

First thing i done was find true TDC using a DTI gauge and it was a little out when compared to the mark on the cambelt casing so i have now made a new mark to indicate true TDC

Next thing i done was start on the intake cam making sure the cam was at max lift at 110 degrees using a DTI gauge, i then went 10 degrees either side of the 110 degrees and made sure the DTI read the same figure which it did.

I then repeated the above on the exhaust cam

Has everything been done correctly or have i missed anything out??

All input will be appreciated.

Craig
