BUschur intake v. Hks v. K&N

Ok I am considering these three: The buschur MAS Pipe and filter, the HKS suction, and the K&N typhoon kit. If you post one is better please post a reason why. Also I would like to know how many of you have problems with oil from wet filters getting on the mas and frying it. Again these are the ONLY three I am looking at. If you sell these or if you work for one of these companys please post as much technical info as possible on why you think one is better. Thanks in advance.

I got the BR air filter. It made the Evo feel quicker. BR claimes 4-5 hp and 7lb of torque at the wheels. You can hear the turbo spool and blow louder. My friend has the HKS super suction kit and it looks great but a lot more money...

I have the HKS RS kit and love it. The sound it makes, makes the Evo sound so much different from stock. The stock BOV is even loud. Loud enough to where I can hear it a good distance away. It is recirculated to.

I love my HKS rs aswell. From what ive heard the RS kit teands to lean the car out around 4k rpm for some powa gains. But you will lose some hp on the lower rpms but up high I noticed a nice little gain.

Ive got the K&N Typhoon. I love it. It sounds great, and seems to be the best buy considering you get a quality polished intake pipe along with a carbon fiber heatshield that looks great. Even the end of the filter is CF. No problems from oil yet, but it does happen. The BOV is plenty loud now. I dont think this one can be beat for the price, hell K&N, carbon fiber, enough said.

What do you mean about oil? Are you talking about the oil on the filter?

Apparently people have had problems with KN oil getting on the maf, but that should not happen.

Any open element air filter and MAS pipe is goling to give you the louder bov sound. Power increases are relatively insignificant. The reason I went with the HKS RS intake is because replacement filters are easy to obtain and pretty cheap. 5 for $69 from z1auto.com. But they all do the same thing. Brand doesn't really make much difference. That being said, I love my HKS. Wouldn't trade it for anything else.

HKS. I hate oiling the filter. I just spend $10-15 for a new filter every 6000 miles or so. It's much more convenient.

I see HKS filters in just about every color on Ebay for $10. Hell....just drop about $100 and some cash for shipping and you can have enough filters to last a couple years or change the color once every week. LOL
