you shouldn't see too many direct hp gains from intake... but better response and signature sound is a definite plus. also cold air isn't that important because it jsut gets heated by the turbo and cooled by the intercooler so a heat shield or bos isn't that big of a deal. i guess you could say sucking colder air would get you a denser intake charge with less turbine effort but i really gotta see this typd of gain before i'd buy into it.

BR = I don't need a jdm name on a part to feel better about myself, BR pipe is high quality, awesome driveability and unmatched performance to the buck ratio. Also Buschur had the intelligence to get rid of the nipples from the pipe, why in the Hell anyone would actually want oil to build up in their i/c is beyond me. The ONLY possible advantage I could see of the HKS, beyond possibly getting you a spot on Grand Master Flex's bling bling show is the fact that it's aluminum.

I have a question for all the HKS RS owners, someone told me not to buy the hks rs, because after a while the Check Engine Light comes on due to the intake. Thats the only thing making me think twice bout it. Any of you had that problem too? if so, how'd ya get rid of it? Thanks in advanced.

Well, I've had mine for about a week now, and I've driven it all over the place, both easy and hard...zero problems...

The filters he's refering to are on Ebay. Problem is that they are not real K&N, just knockoffs. (The $10 ones) I wouldnt let my civic breath through one of these. http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eB...tem=2483213125

WTF made you say that? I Kept it short & honest HKS kasai is the premier tuner of Evo's & have alot Of R&D in there products from there stainless twin scroll header which is the highest QUALITY out to there dual bb turbos RS kits Cams ...etc R 2nd to no one. I dont think HKS R to concerned bout the budget minded they cater to the person who will not settle for second best.and what makes me feel better bout myself is bangin chicks not buying parts.BTW i never put br's products down.

Lol, man got you rilled up, sorry... and yeah I like bangin' chicks too, but I wouldn't rely on it to make me feel better about myself. Just can't make myself feel good about spending $330 for a metal tube or $480 for an air box, and it's not being budget minded it's just all about not getting it up the exhaust without lube for "JDM", man Americans can do anything they can do overseas in 1 years time with this car, it's our nature with vehicles. To put all of this in perspective, I've heard that USDM parts are quite popular in Japan, know why? Because people always want something that is hard to get, regardless of it's functionality, people want what makes them feel "special".
