I did a FULL BUILD and my Car wont start?
2nd time I did a timing belt I didn't use instruction. Hell, I was a mechanic and already did it once so I knew everything... I forgot to line up the dowel pins and had one cam 180* out. When I cranked it their was no compression, to the point I thought the starter wasn't engaging.
Luckily, at 180* out their wasn't any interference and I just fixed the timing and it was good to go. Now Ive done a dozen or more timing belts, but I always look at those damn dowels thinking what an IDIOT

he said he had physical timing off.. which when off enough will bend valves since the pistons will smack against them
i am glad you found it boss i knew it was bent valves that is why i asked if there was any unusual noises trying to start it up. just remember to check, double check, then recheck check all your timing marks before you even think about starting it back up. there are a lot of write up and how to for timing belt on here and on evomoto good luck bro.

Thats Sucks brother.... I know what its like to be on an Island and try to get things taken care of. Hope that the Bottom End and Pistons are okay and all you have to replace is valves or the head.

Ams is coming mainly for my car, but he has others lined up to be tuned also. He came a month ago, but I hadn't finished the car. If I dont make this one, then I cant keep asking him to keep coming back month after month.

They may still be useable, but if you do so, you will, at the least, need to smooth the nick down so that it does not become a hot spot on the surface of the piston. I'd send a good close up photo of the "nick" to AMS or someone else you trust to tell you whether they can be used.

Okay, so the car is back together. IT Cranks but wont start. My tuner sent me a start up map for my injectors(FIC 1650cc) but it still wont start. Theres spark and fuel, and the timing marks line up this time. Iam thinking about starting it with the stock injectors? ANY SUGGESTIONS?
