Timing Oil Pump with Stubby Shaft

This may sound like a dumb question and I think I already know the question but I just wanna check...does the oil pump need to be in time when reinstalling the timing belt if I have a stubby shaft? I'm guessing no since the stock balance shaft is weighted on one side whereas the stubby is just no weights at all.

Thanks!
