ACD Predicament
ACD Predicament
So 47K miles on the car and the clutch finally goes out. After the install my ACD lights came on. Upon further inspection the ACD reservoir was a little low so I filled it up. Before I could get around to bleeding the system the lights came on again. This time the 60A fuse blew on the + battery terminal. Ordered the fuse block from mitsu will be here weds.
Now my question is what are the ramifications for driving with the pump effectively disabled. Does the ACD go into a 'safe' mode or does it simply mean my dif won't lock up when it should? I have been searching for a while and can't find an answer. If any one has some insight it would be much appreciated.

i drove around with my ACD lights on due to shorted wheel speed sensors. the only thing i noticed was that when i 3 wheeled going up a big ramp, the lifted inside rear wheel spun and the car barely moved as if the rear diff didn't lock. the problem went away since i replaced the sensors though. HTH
Anyone else can chime in on this?I have been getting a very loud whine from my ACD pump every time I drive off and the pump starts to build pressure.
It no longer sucks in fluid from the reservoir and the whine sounds like the pump is running dry.
Can I just unplug the pump until I save up to buy a new one or will there be side effects?
