To people running synapse

Are these better than the stock dv? They seem to have set a high standard

I know I mentioned it your other thread but I'll say it again here... Yes! I would take my Synapse over a stock DV any day. People will try to say that the stock DV is better for daily drivability but the Synapse has actually been the better DV for me for daily driving. Add in the fact that it can hold up to 60 psi and to me it's a win-win. If you're planning on running more than 24 psi I would definitely reccomend the Synapse. I've also heard good things about Tials but I like the Synapse better because you don't need to weld any special flanges for it.

i love mine way better than the stock one, i got the older one thats rated for 100psi. Once i put that on my car i could tell a huge difference in it holding the boost.

I love my Synapse DV. Holds boost excellently, no flutter, and sounds brilliant.

The only complaint that i think you will hear about the Synapse is that it usually takes some time and some trial and error to get it dialed in. Every set-up is different so you have to figure out what works best for your car- Push or pull mode? How much preload?? Once you get it dialed in though it works great!

Here is a dyno sheet comparing my stock bpv to the synapse dv. You will see how much my stock bpv was leaking.

IMO the Synapse is the best BOV, period. I was a bit skeptical at first that a simple BOV could be so much better than another, but after getting one and dialing it in... my god, you couldn't pay me to go back to something else.

Do it. I have the "older" BOV (recirc'ed of course) and it is simply flawless.

People often use the terms BOV and DV interchangeably but if you want to get technical I believe a blow off valve (BOV) typically vents to atmosphere (VTA) and a diverter valve (DV) recirculates the air back into the intake. I think Synapse only sells one style but I think you can run it either VTA or recirculated. Most people run it recirculated and they have two versions. The newer version is smaller and is all black and the older version is silver and black, and is a bit larger.
