Whats your favorite turbo-back exhaust system

Which company sells the deepest and cleanest sounding exhaust? I am in search to buy an evo soon and doing some research for parts…

I love the look of the buscher racing but its too high pitched.

What are your opinions and experiences?

I loved my Buschur setup. It was pretty deep so I don't know why you think it's "high pitched".

When accelerated it seems a bit buzzy. Am I correct? Yes the idle is pretty deep sounding.

Megan racing sounds deep, no rasp to it, and it fits perfect and is cheap.

+1 on the Megan. I specifically didn't want one that sounded "buzzy" or "poppy" and looking at youtube videos of the Megan it was my pick for best sound. Now that I have it, I love it. Completely smooth sound at idle, mostly smooth growl during normal driving that gets mean when the wastegate opens. Decel with the back windows open hits a resonance that makes it sound like there's a massive sub in my trunk blasting a solid tone.

I would think the megan would sound ricey and buzzy. Good info. I will look into it. Megan's inexpensive pricing always turns me away because I think they are cheap but you have taught me something. What are you opinions on other Megan parts e.g. coilover, springs etc.???

I THINK I recall reading the coilovers are ok, but I don't have any firsthand experience. I have read good things about their O2 housing. Some people have complained of their exhaust manifold cracking though. All I can comment on from firsthand experience is the TBE, and the youtube video above portrays it well.

Buschur FTW

p.s. the Magnaflow muffler helps keep it more subtle too

I like my Cobb turboback. Not too loud at all but very deep sound. Sounds awesome at WOT.

I have heard their coil overs and springs don't have a very good ride quality. Don't let that influence you on the exhaust choice though.

Yeah. Remember, it's just a stainless steel pipe. They're all T-304 stainless steel (unless you're doing some spending). They should all hold up equally well. It's just gotta fit well and sound like you want. Weight is something to consider, but I have a feeling that if that was up there in your criteria you would have already made your decision without asking for opinions

One thing you didn't mention is whether you're planning on cat or test pipe. The cat muffles sound a LOT, especially a really dense honeycomb like the stock one. I think people with the Buschur's (maybe it was Buschur himself?) have welded a second muffler where the cat would be instead of a test pipe to mellow out the sound. There's a thread about it here somewhere.
