Ticking noise at around 6k rpm

Hey Guys,

I've looked around and seen that ticking seems to be fairly common for Evo's, but I just wanted to put myself at ease. I recently noticed some ticking when at around 6k+ rpm... it may be a little sooner but there is defiantly no noise at idle, or up to 4k rpms. I've looked around and seen videos of cars making a similar tick but they are much louder and at idle.

I just noticed the noise when I switched out the uicp to an aftermarket one (since I was completely sick of my uicp coming off at the throttle body, actually the last two times it came off were at an autocross, I was probably in second gear and around 5k-6k rpms. As soon as it came off I got off the gas and idled back to the pits. Possible damage to valves and lifters from the car going super rich when the pipe blew off?

Am I just being super paranoid and its the regular ticking noises that evo's make, or could it be a future disaster in the works?

Car is not modded heavily, buschur intake/exhaust with hfc, licp, uicp and a mail in tune is all of the power mods. Running slightly higher boost as well around 20.5 psi peak.

Thanks for any help!
