Bad idle, loud ticking (w/ video)

Currently working with a reputable tuner who's been working hard on trying to solve the idle problem. I sent him this video today but didn't get any feedback, just a new map.

Yes, I have AEM cam gears, but I didn't have this problem before I switched turbos.

Would a bad camshaft really cause an overly rich condition at idle?

mo had an off timing by and cause not get the can gears to zero out. I am guess your tuner tubed the gear also. If so and the cam gears were not 0 out that could cause that noise for should. If I was you I would try re timing and making sure your cans are at 0

either your wideband sensor is screwed which could be because normally from idle revving you should go from stoich to rich, that dont sound good i know it ticks loud, but doesnt sound like lifter tick to me man. Your mechanical timing could be off, check for an exhaust leak too while your at it, youve already done the basic steps to correct the issue, exhaust leaks will give off wrong afr readings...

That noise is definetly NOT lifter tick from listening to it (having crappy speakers at work) but it sounds more like piston slap might be just slightly slightly tapping the valves you said you have cam gears right? Well what are they set to? I wouldnt have them set any further that +1 on the intake and -1 on the exhaust specially for HKS 272's or BC 272's. Like Boostevo58 stated above reset those cam gears to zero and work your way from there. And the richer you run the quicker you burn through UEGO Sensors

I would zero out the cams, and work your way from there. Who installed the cams btw?

I was hoping someone didn't say rod bearing but I've been in denial for a while.

The cams have been in the car for over 5 years, along with cam gears and their current settings. Made decent power and idled fairly well. It wasn't till recently that the ticking began.

My question now is that if it is a spun bearing making the noise, would that cause a bad, overly rich idle?

im no expert engine builder but imo, a spun rod bearing shouldnt make u run rich, even more so when cars not up to temp, usually the car runs a bit leaner during the open loop operation when its cold, to help "warm up" the cat quicker. so runnin 10.0 at cold idle, is bad man. Id say either more of a possible 02 sensor issue, possibly a maf sensor issue, or your tune was jacked up before u fixed all these issues??

I thought the front O2 was bad as well, but I replaced it last week and still the same issue. My tuner said the injectors could be bad so I switched back to the OEM set with no change in the rich idle.

I'm hoping it's the MAF. I bought one from a user on the forum. If this doesn't fix the issue, my next step is a FPR.

i just had a thought man you said you swapped your injectors back to stock? now one thing im curious about did you have the injectors rescaled and voltage done? reason i ask well if your injectors could just be open all the time if they werent scaled back to stock which iirc is like 550 or around there compared to your 880 injectors. that might have somethin to do with it.
