Found a Defi BF Guage Mix-n-Match GB

Hey guys,

I stumbled across a damn nice GB on Defi BF Gauges. If you're interested, pm me and I'll get you the details.

I managed to snag Boost, EGT, Oil Pressure and the Controller Unit II for $765 with free shipping

it is a nice price but really not that great considering that gruppe-s sells the same package for $795 shipped without the group buy. also, they are a paying vendor on this board and you will have all the support you need from one of the best vendors we have here.

I _would_ have gone with Gruppe-S, except I PM's them on this board and requested they get back to me with the best price they could do including shipping to Stanford, CA (which isn't very far from them).

This was several days ago, and they _still_ havn't gotten back to me. Now I will support the vendors (In fact ... I dropped over $6K at Works who have been _amazing_), but when I don't get good customer service then **** it. The guy I'm dealing with is a sponser on another forum, and has consistantly responded back to me within 24hrs even over the holidays.

If Gruppe-S wanted my $765-$800 for gauges then they should have at least responded in a timely manner. _Even_ if they would have done $780-785 I probably would have gone with them.

And by best vendors I'm assuming Works doesn't count? Since Works is a Platnium Vendor and all.

Before you flame, check the facts.

EDIT:
Disregard the negative tone of this response. I'll hold back any judgement on Gruppe-S until I actually get in contact with them. Not responding over the holidays is definitely acceptable (however, it was the reason I didn't go with them, since I wanted my gauges _now_)

Peace

first of all when did i flame???

also,

gruppe-s is a great vendor and have a lot of happy costumers here and over at nasioc. i am sure they have a valid reason for the delay with your PM (maybe the holidays or whatever).

also if you want to get technical, being a platinum vendor does not mean they are the best. it simply means that they pay more per month. the status of your vedor goes by the package that you buy. and also i said one of the best in case you skipped that part.

so maybe you should check your facts.

just to make it clear, i have nothing against works or any other vendor.

And let me add something. I'm busy. I don't really have the time or patience to mess around with vendors. If they have good customer service, get back to me in a timely manner, and give me a discount, even if it's just a buck or two on each $100 I'm spending (which comes out to being basically just a symbolic discount anyway) I appreciate the effort and will go with them in a second.

I like to be loyal with my purchases, if someone treats me well, I'll come back for more and more. If they don't care to get my business, then I don't care to give it to them.

Ahh good point. "Flame" accusation recended. Sorry about that one.

I just get annoyed when I try to do something that doesn't work out, and then am criticized for not doing it. I understand that's not how you meant it, so I do apologize for the tone of my response. I was hurried and annoyed due to my misunderstanding.

I do know that Platnium vs Gold vs Silver is solely on the monthly payment, but when you said it's one of the forums best vendors I read it incorrectly. Works have been nicer to me than any other vendor so far, have taken the time to explain their position and modding philosophy, and have refrained from getting into pissing contests with other vendors (uhm ... unlike one or two of their competition who will remain unnamed).

And for the record, the entire reason I didn't point the post directly to the other GB or include contact information for the vendor doing the GB was because I didn't think that was fair to the vendors on _our_ board.

Will do. I'll definitely give them a try next time I need something.

Thanks for the reference.

Oh and re-read the edits on the above posts. I didn't mean the originals to read as they were.

As far as I know.. Gruppe-S only has 6 guys working at their shop. 4 sales, one web design and one mechanic.. They have a lot of ground to cover such as www.i-club.com, www.nasioc.com, www.my350z.com, and last but not least, the EVOM.net. So if they haven't repsond to your pm or email, please be patient.. I have nothing but great to say about these guys. They offer one of the best services online as well as for local guys. And since you are in Stanford, why not take a trip down there and check out their shop?

Yep. Got a nice reply back from them today. Unfortunately I already ordered the gauges earlier today, but I'll definitely check out Gruppe-S next time I need something.

(and yeah I'm normally at Stanford, but right now since school's out, I'm 7000mi away for the holidays ... which makes it a little difficult)
