this happened to me as well with the spoolin up non CDI kit, blew the 10amp fuse under the dash and replaced it with another 10amp. i always have a full set of fuses in the car though. It has only happened once, and it was within a day of installing the SU COP kit.

I put the non CDI kit back in along with the 15amp fuse. Did a couple on and offs with starting the car and drove it. All good. See how things are in a month or so.

This is outstanding customer service.

Can we confirm that the fuse we replace is number 1 under the dash, represented by the picture of an engine?

Just installed my non cop yesterday (new coils)... Instructions that came w/, said to replace the 10 amp fuse w/ the given 15 amp fuse...

TY Matt. Definitely a quality peice, and fast shipment!

I can confirm a difference in idle quality. Also when rolling to a stop, and "clutch in", idle holds steady, rather than the lil dip to 600, Im used to seeing...
I dont know exactly how to describe it, other than 1 of my coils must have been on its way out, as the car just just feels stronger, getting the proper spark... And Im not just talking bout the "butt dyno" Im talking about feeling it in the throttle (gas pedal), as well as the butt dyno.

Yes, this is the correct one to be replaced.

I had this issue before work one time after about a month of of installing the Non-CDI SpoolinUp kit. At the time, there wasn't any info on here so I'm glad someone brought it up.

On another note, I changed the ECU, ECU Flash image, cam sensor, spark plugs, reverted to stock coils, the OTHER spark fuse, and completely forgot about the one under the dash--and that was the problem.

That was fun heh/luckily I had everything in my garage.

Seems like the fuse blows on startup only. My car has blown the 10 amp twice over a course of a couple of months, but NEVER while driving.

Been running the 15amp fuse since I started this thread and switched it out. No probs whatsoever. Another note when I first installed the new kit I didnt notice a difference. I really noticed it when I put the stock coils back on for a bit and swapped back to the non cdi kit. Then I realized it did make a difference.

Interesting. 1st I've seen or heard of this. Any chance this is an VIII vs. IX issue?I'm on stock ECU, and I've been running the Non-CDI COP kit in my IX for a few months now without any blown fuses. Good to know in the event it ever happens though.
