Big Build Need Opinions
I cant comment on 4g64 blocks being less prone to cracking but I can say that I dont believe
4g63 blocks cracking is an epidemic. It seems to be a rare occurence other than when someone tosses a rod through one.

What went wrong with your other builds....
What went wrin
I made 654whp on a 6262. 32psi stock ported head. Mustang dyno. It's very street friendly for a big turbo and still has room to go. It's fairly cheap as well. I'm on a 2.3 and love the torque it makes but miss the revs. Id go 2.1 if you can
How high you revving that 2.3? I don't see 8.5 being an issue and that's only 500 rpms lower than what a typical 2.0 would rev to. And I'm pretty sure most big displacement/stroker setups spool about 500rpms quicker so really you just have a broader more street friendly powerband.
The only time I would worry about large displacement and the rev limiter would be at the track for your trap speeds and avoiding the 4-5 shift.

reving the **** out of that dont need to rev that high unless at the track if its mostly DD duty with street fun etc then i say 2.2 2.3 2.4 if its always on the drag strip its obvious which one to pick when are you gonna get in there lude and rebuild that badboy car is collecting dust now LOL

I'm pretty set on a 2.1 build with an ETS 6262, now i just need to figure on my parts setup...BTW can anyone recommend a company that does good reliable head porting...I know if done wrong it can do more harm then good.

I to plan to go either 2 or 2.1l. I am trying to build for longevity. I fell that by building a motor with a rev limit I won't be spanking a lot, or coming close to it, will help with extending motor life.
It also seems that torque kills. I want to get a decent amount of torque but not what the 2.3 or 2.4 will give for the whp I am shooting for.
