This Normal?

When I'm in first and second gear and have my hand on the stick i feel a grinding in the gearbox. Is this normal? Should i bring it into the dealer or let it be? I can only feel the grind when my hand is on the shifter and cannot hear it. Also, my car bucs from 1st to 2nd as well. Could this all be related. LITTLE HELP! THANKS

I'd go get it checked out. You may have to drive with the tech in the car and when you feel it have him feel it then too. Otherwise they may try to tell you they can't feel anything or it's all fine. It doesn't sound right though and I'd have them look into it asap just to be safe. Good luck.

It is normal if you are putting pressure on the shifter (even the weight of your arm) to feel a very light "grinding" or meshing of the gears. BTW you should NOT do that it will cause premature wear in the transaxle. Both hands on the wheel unless shifting!
