Next mods for IX on 93

Currently have: AEM Uego, Tanabe 2.75" dp, Perrin HFC, Tanabe MEDALION TOURING exhaust, MAP ported Intake Mani & Turbine Housing, PPI Ported Exhaust Mani and O2 Housing.

Based on recommendations, thinking of FIC BlueMax 1250, Aeromotive 340, Omni 4 bar, GrimmSpeed EBC.

Don't know if I want to do E85 so are the BlueMax good for 93 pump?

Go with meth injection and a retune.

^ Horrible advice. Meth is a small band-aid trying to cover the large wound that is octane deficiency.

The first thing you need to post is where will the car be at the end-game? If you're trying to max the stock turbo, then the bluemax' and E85 would be a good start. Those injectors are also tunable for pump, if you decide against E85.

Not looking to break records as I don't drag or road race. After those mods the most I would think of doing would be ETS fmic, intercooler pipes. If turbo ever went out I would mostly look at the HKS as I like its spool characteristics and again not looking to make huge power. Don't anticipate doing cams but those would probably be my last mod.

I have E85 easily available near my home but right I'm just trying to do efficiency and driveability improvement type mods. E85 would probably also be last if I ever decide to use it. Not sure I want to hassle with winter/summer blends, checking ethanol percentage, or any of the other cons it may have. I know it has some pros in power and being a cleaner fuel but I can wait as I enjoy doing a few mods at a time.

Meth is the best mod I have done to any of my cars, how is that bad advice? Its an alternative fuel, thats like saying running race gas or e85 is horrible. Obviously you have no experience with methanol injection so stick with what YOU know.

Swap your 2.75" downpipe out for a 3" one first. Then get cams (S2's and springs). If you want to run E, then just get a Buschur DP'er and some big FICs. I went with 2150s so I never have to buy them again.

E85 is safer than meth and is easier for most to obtain. As for mods: Larger Downpipe, LICP, cams, and FMIC.

how much boost are you running right now? stock turbo?

You should aim for a whp goal or like someone said, 'the end game', kinda easier to work with.

I actually like the Tanabe dp as it has plenty of clearance on the ix. I don't think it'd would make much difference to change to a 3". You are probably more power hungry than I am so I don't think I would ever need that much flow. I'm not doing FMIC this round but maybe later. Yeah, no to Meth for me.

So will the 1250 bluemax, aeromotive, grimspeed ebc, omni 4 bar be good next step after my breathing mods?

Its totally up to you - alls I knows is I was stuck at 380whp with a 2.75" downpipe, then when I swapped to a 3" downpipe I was making 416whp with no loss in spool.

Thanks for the info. I'll keep your experience in mind.

Really? I was told I was probably maxed out on my fuel at this stage of my mods.

The fuel mods with boost controller will also be less expensive at this time.
