Tubular front subframe
Has anybody thought of designing and building something like an aluminum tubular front subframe? Last week I was staring at a stock piece, looks pretty effing beefy! I bet you could design one to drop a lot of weight (at the front no less) and improve suspension geometry.
Thoughts?
Thoughts?
You might not be able to package in an Alloy subframe, i know people make them in Steel and chromoly.

That ebay one was exactly what I had in mind! Exept it looks like a bit crude. You guys don't think one could be made of aluminum tubing for even more lbs savings?
I was thinking about doing one of these down the road, depending on when the EFR's arrive I may go for it.
