Have you deleted your oil cooler?

I want to hear from guys who deleted their oil coolers. Especially guys with higher hp setups and Built motors. My motor is almost done and I am debating on deleting mine. I want to hear from guys who deleted theirs. Also how many miles they have been running with out it. have you had any issues?

I just bought a delete kit for $20 from STM just to get rid of it for the colder months. I can't see any car needing for anything but road racing.

Mine doesnt have one, assuming because the previous owner was too cheap to buy a new one when the original motor took a dump. It's made around 600 hp and has around 20k miles on it at least so far. I drive 500+ miles a week for work so it gets a good work out but just like for the turbo if I've been beating on it I let it run or drive around till I shut it off. I've been wondering how many people doesnt have one also. I would prefer one but its not like I autocross it or something but if you have a good one I don't see why not to use it.

And like the other guy says I would think it is worse for winter months since it will take it longer for the oil to heat up which is no good when you want the oil to be thinner to get through the motor quicker

I've also been thinking about this, what's the purpose to deleting it? My buddy was saying only drag cars delete them but than I saw this thread. Seems like some of you dd your cars without the oil cooler. Is there any pros and cons?

I'm deleting mine because my motor spun a bearing and there now could be shavings in mine.

I have been debating if I want to delete mine or not. I have the AMS oil cooler kit. I drag my car but also drive it on the street.

I deleted mine.. mainly so i could run my exhaust through the area the oil cooler was in order to get a nice exit on the bottom corner of the front bumper there.

Haha your right. And your motor isn't going to spin a bearing if you don't run a oil cooler right?
