Help with installing FP oil feed line

I'm in the process of installing my FP Black and I have a question about the adaptor fitting that goes into the oil filter housing. How far is it supposed to thread in? I'm aware that it is a tapered fitting, but it's only going in about half way before it gets tight. Half of the threads are still showing. I don't want to go too tight or too loose with it. I have included a pic to show what I'm talking about. Could someone please tell me if this looks right? Thanks!

Also, I will be using high temp thread locker on it even though you can't see it in the pic.

Torque to 35-40 ft-lbs. and you're good to go.

Ok, will do. I just want to know how far it's supposed to seat into the housing.

Any properly sized tapered fitting isn't going to sit flush. Yours looks perfectly normal.

id torque it no more then 32 and don't forget to use teflon tape on your fittings. the oil filter housing will crack if you try to torque it to much.
