Little help please

ok heres the scoop, i got a 06 evo 9 mr se, fp red, etc, anyways i got my new clutch put in over the last week or so, also had the transmission fluids changed as well as the differential. So i get my car back today and it grabs and shifts good. The mechanic also told me he changed some sort of gasket or seal, not quick sure yet but ill find out, so now when i go in boost its making a really loud whining sound from 4k and up. Im wondering if this has something to do with the gasket or seal he changed, or is my turbo going to blow, idk, i asked a few people someone told me it may be the transfer case(i was like what? that doesnt make sense) then someone else told me turbo could be leaking or the oil line to turbo could be blocked or not getting oil to the turbo. Once again my car was not making this loud whining sound when i took the car to the dealership, but the day i get it back its doing it. Basically if anyone has any thoughts or opinions on this, it would be greatly appreciated. Thanks EVOM

Perform a boost leak test on the car man before you start going crazy. You'll get a howl coming into boost if there is a leak at the j-pipe to turbo or j-pipe to LICP in my exp

Does it only whine in boost?

Will it whine at 4k without boost? Like just cruising along?

it only whines in boost, and its not even really at the beginning of boost, its really more toward 4500 or 4700 rpm and up,

If it is only whining in boost you can prob rule out the TC. Do the Boost Leak Test

Any leak in the J-Pipe area will howl pretty loud. After that could be an issue with the turbo itself
