4G64 gasket?

There's several stock versions available.

You're not running a 4G63 bored out 2 mm.........that would be silly because the walls will be too thin and cause problems..........like the HG sealing.

The hole in the gasket is always bigger than the bore, maybe by 1 mm.

You need to know the piston dish vol, the head CC then you can work out the CR from the gasket thickness.
It's never what you think it is.

I know that i need 1.5mm head gasket. I've worked out the head cc, dish vol and all that. We are targetting to reach >800hp from the latest setup. Most of the guys here stated OEM/MMC gasket is the best for high HP. however, since i'm on 87mm, can i still use OEM/MMC? do i need to rebore it? or should i get an aftermarket.

BUMP

I just want to know if it's ok to use 86.5mm gasket with 87mm bore. It's almost impossible to get an OEM 87mm gasket unless i get those MLS type from Cometic, etc. Honestly those won't hold high HP.

yes if you can verify no piston contact at TDC

so is FELPRO a liked or disliked head gasket? they are typically considered equal to OEM on the other 4G63 engines. if my evo 8 deal works out i will be needing a head gasket and i usually do FELPRO on other vehicles.

also the other platform has MLS and composite options and depending on what you are doing, its decided what to get, same deal here?
