High HP guys (650+) what Head Gasket are you using?

High HP guys (650+) what Head Gasket are you using?

My build has started and i'm kind of at a toss up between the Power Enterprise one, or just going OEM.

What are you all running?

Block is a 4g63 .040+ and O-Ringed.

It'll be a built 2.0 with a 6266

like most questions.......you're gonna get different answers. I had GSC Power Division build my 2.0ltr (10.5:1compression), used L19's and stock headgasket

Thats what I was leaning towards, I'll be using H11's too, so I didnt really think it'd be much of an issue.

With the block being .040 over should I just use the stock bore gasket size or? In the past i've always just used a gasket to match how much it was bored. I never really put to much thought into just running a stock sized gasket.

What would a downfall of running a .040 over gasket be? As apposed to stock

I had a built 2.0, block was .40 over with arp studs o-ringed head and a stock gasket... No issues at 613whp.

I have H11's, so the head studs will be fine, the block is also o-ringed, i'm usually not a big fan of an o-ringed block but i bought it this way so its going to have to work.

Looks like i'll be going with an OEM one! Thanks for clearing up my thoughts!

Im actually very surprised that EVERYONE said stock head gasket! I went with a power enterprise, previously had an AMS gasket as thats what Buschur uses.

I guess Ill go with OEM next time around
