I'm running them. Never had oil issues before or since. They give me a little more grunt to get up my steep driveway in first. they gave me .65 more MPG. they do seem to rub on the intercooler pipe but, so what?

My IX is my first car ever to not burn oil. It's only got 24k miles on it though. Do most people with Evos notice more oil consumption than other cars when the mileage starts to rack up?

I have 125,000 mi on my car and have a small know oil leak and don't need to add any oil between changes. I would do a leak down test and try to find out why you are burning so much oil. I have heard of built motors burning some but that still seems like alot.

It's not burning inside the catch can. the smoke you're seeing is from inside the crank case. it's probably mostly oil vapor getting pushed out by blow by. Built motors definitely will experience more blow by but losing that much oil tells me that the PCV system isn't doing it's job. Make sure your factory PCV valve is functioning and isn't clogged. I've heard good things about the kracka valves.

They're like a secondary PCV valve that doesn't suck. the install shouldn't take more than 15 minutes.
