Question 3" Turboback Exhaust ?'s

Does anyone make or will make a 3" TB exhaust that DOESN'T remove any of the stock suspension braces?
I like the HKS Carbon-Ti muffler and I believe RNR makes a TBE with one of these, but I had read you must remove the braces. I want to open the car up exhaust-wise, but I don't want to give up any suspension stiffness! Any suggestions?? Thank you.

From Buschur's web page... (Go to http://www.buschurracing.com/order_parts_lancer.html and click on "Intake and Exhaust Components")

3" mandrel bent stainless steel downpipe - maximum flow for your EVO! For use with our 3" catback system. Downpipe and hardware for rattle-free installation. Our downpipe allows you to keep the stock lower tie-bars!

I see that you're in Baltimore -- I'm in Fairfax County VA, which might be close enough for you... If you want to see (and hear) the full 3" Buschur exhaust installed, PM me. I'll be happy to put the car up on ramps and let you take a look underneath.

there several companies that make a 3' TB that either clear the stock tie bars or provided spacers to have no clearing issues . I suggest doing a search before , since this has been cover several times

Thumbs up

Our 3" Downpipe clears both lower tie bars without the need for spacers. I have these in stock and ready to ship! If you're interested, shoot me a PM, email, or you can call me at the shop!

Thanks

Darryl

I have the ultimate racing DP, and despite the fact that it clears the tie bars, it still hits it when the engine torques. I know this b/c after Road Race installed it, i took the car back a couple days later for suspension work, and looked at it on the lift. The thermal wrapping was scraped off where the tie bar was.

Also, Daryl, the flanges on the downpipe were the wrong ones.

Our 3" TB doesn't remove the stock braces. You just use our spacer kit and it drop the brace a little lower. It doesn't do anything to hurt performance at all. The supsension will still act the same as before.

We also have the HKS Carbon/TI muffler and now the Magnaflow w/RnR Tip thta looks identical to the APEXi N1.

Let me know if there are any other questions.

I have the Ultimate Racing 3" turbo back, with the Thermo wrap, and it clears the tie bars without spacers. I don't see why yours doesn't. Maybe the shop didn't install your exhaust correctly.

maybe i wasn't clear enough before. It DOES clear the tie bars.

But the thermal wrapping rubs it when the car is driving.

I would say go with a true 3inch all the way...
Buschur's quality and price is awesome and it is also one of the lightest one on the market...
