OK, the title is a bit misleading.

What i want to know is, VISUALLY (aesthetically), how different do the HKS cams look than the stock cams.

Pretty similair...If your making a custom clear valve cover, you won't impress anyone. They do have 272 or what not written on them with a dremel or stamp though...

Yes if they tore down the head they would see HKS engravings. Also any tech worth a salt (2 out of 10) will be able to listen to the car ideling will know it kas cams. I dont have the Vishnu cam idle fix yet so I cant comment on that.

The problem guys is your wrongfully ASSuming that you have a warrenty anyway. I have seen very little evidence of mechanical warrenty for the EVO yet. A few things here and there but I think yall are kidding yourselves

Yeah, but if you want to get nitpicky, absence of evidence isn't evidence of absence. Saying that we are "wrongully assuming" is a bit conclusory given that the only thing you are basing that on is the lack of evidence of mechanical warranty (which is spelled with an "a" by the way).

And the Vishnu cam idle fix would do absolutely no good if the purpose is to save your warranty, since you would presumably want to take the Xede out as well.

FWIW, just got the the Vishnu XEDEFlash with my 264/272 HKS combo. The difference in idle noise is audible but very slight - a little more aggressive. In my opinion it improves the sound and complements the exhaust.

The Walbro fuel pump is a lot more annoying since its sound is much higher-pitched (~500Hz, like a hair dryer running under your seat) but that's only idling at a stop light with the radio turned down that you notice it.

I wish I had recorded the sounds the car made stock, with cat-back, with dump-back, with gears, and now with cams - it's interesting to hear how the voice changes - right now I am loving the gnarl.

I would say do the mods, if you don't have 8kish to fix a blown up motor and tranny don't do the mods.

Yep that's what it comes to. You can't afford not to have a warrenty then it might not be a good Idea to mod.
